We recently came back from Condom (funny name!) in Bordeaux - a huge agricultural area which specialises in wine (of course), wonderful fruit and veg - including huge varieties of tomatoes, completely delicious foie gras, mi-cuit prunes, gateaux basque - - - to name but a few, and lovely local markets.Click here to try the Gateaux Basque - it's just delicious.

Looks like a gorgeous place - and a real chance to sample all those French foods!! Great pics :)
Thanks very much for your comments. Most of the villages/small towns in the area are well worth a visit. The countryside is beautiful, and food delicious.
