The Marais is a lovely area to mooch around - specially on a Sunday - there are tons of places to eat - either Kosher or N.African Jewish/Israeli cuisine, as this used to be the old Jewish area of Paris. It's very fashionable, with some cute boutique shops, and has some lovely cafes around Places des Voges, near where Victor Hugo's house is - (which you can visit). Sitting and having a cafe creme and watching everyone ....................... you could sit for hours (providing it's not too cold!)
