Saffron & Cinnamon Figs

Ingredients:
50g. Sugar
1 large pinch of good Saffron
1 Cinnamon stick (or powdered)
2 tsps. Greek Honey
4-8 Figs - cut in half lengthways
Greek Yogurt or Pouring Cream - to serve

Method:
Put 300 ml. cold water, sugar, saffron, cinnamon and honey in a largeish saucepan.
Stir to dissolve the sugar and bring gently to the boil - simmer for 5 mins.
Add the figs and simmer for a further 5 mins or until tender.
Remove from the heat and discard the cinnamon stick, if using, or add several pinches of ground cinnamon.
