This deli has to be the best we found in Edinburgh - (not that I know Edinburgh that well), but it is super. As well as wonderful deli stuff for sale in the shop itself, they have a super cafe with books and a regular art exhibition (Claudia Petretti's painting above). The food there is excellent and is a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. (Coffee's also great.)While wandering around Edinburgh, we found a 'chippy' selling "deep fried Mars Bars" (!) - unfortunately I meant to go back and take a photo but forgot - - - we didn't get to taste one either!
